BIOGRAPHY

Billy began playing Drums in 2002 at the age of 10 years old. Influenced by the sounds of John Bonham, Jojo Mayer, Nicko Mcbrain and Ray Luzier, Billy had a passion for a wide range of styles from an early age.

Having studied under great Drummers such as Jason Bowld (Bullet For My Valentine), Justin Welch (Elastica) and Pete Riley (Republica, Guthrie Govan), Billy earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours from BIMM (Bristol Institute of Modern Music)

Billy has performed in a wide variety of bands covering a multitude of genres such as: Rock, Punk, Reggae, Metal, Funk and Blues. Billy has toured extensively over the years, including several UK and European tours with high profile acts. Billy has performed live on German TV, as well as being featured on tracks played on BBC Radio 1.

Billy is a full-time member of the Kris Barras Band (www.krisbarrasband.com). Signed to Mascot Label Group/Warner Music Group, Kris Barras is one of the UK’s fastest rising Rock artists. With sell-out tours throughout the UK and Europe, as well as regular airplay on Planet Rock and BBC Radio 2, the KBB have an action-packed 2023 ahead. The band has recently had high profile support slots with USA Arena-Rockers Black Stone Cherry and UK Rock legends Thunder. This included performances at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and Wembley Arena. The 2022 festival season was packed with appearances in the UK and Europe, highlights being a second stage performance at Download Festival and a headline slot at Rawa Blues Festival in Poland at the Spodek Arena.

After performing on the Bon Jovi Cruise in 2019, the band were invited to perform on the Joe Bonamassa “Keeping The Blues Alive at Sea” Cruise in August 2022.

In between tours, Billy can be found teaching Drums at his home studio in Barnstaple, Devon.

Billy endorses Paiste Cymbals and Code Drum heads
